PSA Board member Shawna Feiling who designed the site’s look and feel, says IDC’s content management system delivers the functionality they needed to get information out to their growing membership. 
 
“I’m a graphic designer but have only a spartan knowledge of HTML,” says Feiling.  “This new site lets someone like me keep the content updated, and that is crucial, since the site is our primary vehicle for communicating with members.” 
 
Featuring an intuitive control panel, the IDC design easily enables Feiling to change graphics such as sponsor logos, post race results quickly, and maintain a classifieds section for members seeking to do everything from selling boats to finding new crew members or races.  
 

One special feature is a dynamic and customizable photo gallery where Feiling can post photos after each of the club’s twice-weekly races.  “People love to view photos, and the site enables us to easily post the most recent images,” says Feiling.  “Ease of updating is crucial as fresh content is what keeps people coming back to the site.”  
 

“Our challenge in building content-managed sites is to provide powerful software that is easy to use,” says IDC president Stephen F. Steiner.  “We wanted to help the Psicataqua Sailing Association launch a site that would give them more time on the water by requiring far less time updating content."
